Introducing: Sendbox Import (UK to Nigeria)
From inception, we have been committed to solving the problem of logistics for small and medium businesses by providing them with affordable and reliable courier services to fulfill local and international shipping from pickup to doorstep delivery.
This commitment drove the need to create more services that will facilitate the ease of sending and receiving packages from Nigeria and other countries. Earlier this month, we launched Sendbox Import, where merchants can send their packages from abroad down to Nigeria.
Starting off with the United Kingdom, people can now get their packages delivered from the UK to Nigeria through Sendbox.
How does Sendbox Import work?
It’s as simple as using your unique forwarding address as the UK delivery location for any item you want to import to Nigeria
We will explain further how our Import service works by answering a few questions.
- How do I get started?
You can begin by downloading the Sendbox Mobile App on Google Play or App Store and signing up for free. Once you are signed in, click ‘’Overseas Import’’ on your Sendbox dashboard to get your forwarding address.
- Is the Import Service available on the web platform?
The import service is currently accessible only on our Mobile App. However, we are working on making it available on the web platform soon.
- How do I find my forwarding address?
Once you click on “Overseas Import”, you’ll see your unique forwarding address (address 1 and 2). Copy exactly as seen and use as your UK delivery location for packages you want to send down to Nigeria.
- What is the charge rate?
As always, our rates are determined by the weight of the package and delivery location. The current price rate for deliveries from the UK to Nigeria is £7 per kg. This price is inclusive of customs duties.
- How will my package be identified when it gets to the forwarding address?
Every merchant has a unique address (address 1 and address 2). This address is attached to the package before it gets to the forwarding address; upon arrival, the unique address will be used to accurately identify the package and the merchant it belongs to.
- What is the delivery timeline?
Delivery is typically done within 7–10 working days after the package arrives at the forwarding address and payment has been made.
- Will I pay customs duties?
No, you won’t. The shipping fee is inclusive of customs duties.
- Will payment be made in Naira? At what exchange rate?
Yes, payment will be made in Naira. Our exchange rate is determined by the prevailing market rate and will be made available to you on our platform.
